The Winners
On Thursday, December 5, 2024, the European Metropolis of Lille, ADEME, and the Lille-Courtrai-Tournai Eurometropolis awarded six winning projects in the third edition of the European Circular Fashion Awards.
The finalist projects were evaluated on their ability to:
- Reducing environmental impacts throughout the entire cycle and even generating positive impacts
- Extending the lifespan of products and services for greater sustainability
- Innovating with new business models that are firmly rooted in social and societal responsibility
- Influencing consumption patterns by encouraging behavioral change, raising awareness, involving consumers, and even promoting moderation.

This project involves creating a pre-industrial demonstrator for the chemical recycling of complex end-of-life polyester-based textiles.
The promise: an alternative to landfill or incineration, as well as a new source of raw materials!
Auvergne Rhône-Alpes – Vénissieux
Winner: €2,000 prize money awarded by UIT France
Sapiologie: Training in life cycle analysis and a Sapillogie Ecodesign account for one year

Through expert repairs, artistic creations, and renewal services, United Repair Center offers fashion brands sustainable solutions to reduce waste and promote circularity in their production.

Netherlands – Amsterdam
Win: €5,000 in prize money from BNP Paribas and Kiabi
Lita.co: €100,000in fundraising offered on LITA.co

Since 2019, Refurbaskets has been refurbishing branded sneakers using an innovative professional process, which includes thorough cleaning, complete sanitization, a wide range of repairs, and the fitting of new insoles and laces. Some pairs are then resold at up to 60% less than the market price.

Win: €10 ,000 in prize money awarded by Refashion

The premise is simple: Maison Lemahieu is a manufacturer. To demonstrate its commitment to quality for its customers, it guarantees that its French linen T-shirts can be repaired for five years after purchase.
Hauts-de-France – Saint-André-lez-Lille
Win: a day of support from a senior consultant or the founder of UTOPIES and training on environmental issues provided by Cose 361.

Mamé is a children's clothing brand that has set itself a challenge: to reduce clothing consumption as children grow. The solution: scalable, practical, ethical, and gender-neutral collections, designed with certified local materials.
Belgium – Liège
Win: €1 ,250 advertising package on Le Bon Coin
KissKissBankBank: a crowdfunding campaign

L’adaptelier is a workshop that adapts clothing for people who have difficulty getting dressed, catering to medical and social institutions and individuals. The eco-friendly materials used to adapt the clothing extend its lifespan and improve the quality of life for customers and their loved ones.
Hauts-de-France – Lille
L’adaptelier was selected from among all the applications submitted within the MEL territory.
